You make many good points about how extremist Christian theology causes harm in American society. But the Bible is not the problem. It is a historical document that gives us insights into history and human nature. It is full of beautiful poetry. The fact that religious fanatics twist it to suit their own purposes is no reason to ban an important work. The WAY it is taught is the problem.
