You make an excellent point: scarcity is an illusion. Hopefully, humanity will realize this soon and stop operating under outdated paradigms.
But this will not happen by magic. Education is controlled by government structures that do not change easily. People see something in the media they don't like and reject it because it does not fit into their world view.
There is also the problem of human aggression. That is not going to go away.
I am hoping that people's agressive tendencies will be calmed by seeing the benefits of cooperation, for example, in the US, seeing that Biden's reforms make life easier. Americans can then begin to build a better society.
But many people will object to this simply out of spite. It will trigger their innate human paranoia.
I think civilization has a massive struggle in store before a new society can be born. Knowing the forces acting against this can be helpful. It doesn't have to mean demonizing people or arguing with them.
It can mean setting a better example.
