The important thing is that you want to be a good mother. And you are because you put effort into your parenting. My own mother would never have thought about being a good parent because she was too focused on herself and how much she was missing out on by having kids. She was forced to make our lunches and they were awful because she put in no effort at all. Your daughter is so lucky.
