Tarot card are powerful. I bought a deck when I was young and used a book to interpret them. I gave “readings” to my friends by reading the relevant paragraph for each card. Needless to say, nothing significant emerged for most people, as I was not destined to be a psychic.

One time though, a young woman who was going through a dark period in her life was visiting me. I brought out my cards and she shuffled them. When I turned them over, all the darkest, most dramatic cards showed up: the tower, the devil, and a few others I don’t remember.
It was kind of spooky.
