My millennial daughter cannot afford to have children. And she would already be considered “elderly” for obstetrical purposes. Luckily, she doesn’t want to bring any children into this dysfunctional capitalist society. And we are Canadian. It would be even more foolhardy for her to consider parenthood in America.

Meanwhile, my millennial stepson and his wife can easily afford two children- they live in the European Union. They get low cost daycare, food prices are reasonable, and housing is affordable.

When there are no children, a society cannot survive.
