It seems that people of a certain generation could not deal with their own or anyone else’s sexuality. Hence the hysterical reactions to abuse or anything sexually unusual to them. It led to so much damage. Your story is painful. Sadly, I know many people who had similar experiences of abuse. The perpetrators always got away with it, but were miserable people who died unloved. Let’s hope this era of human history is over.
