It is so sad that our civilization has come to this. How can any parent fight this?

As a teacher I got pretty sick of the phone addiction. I refused to teach until all phones were put away. I sent kids to the office. I wouldn't give in. It made for a lot of unpleasantness in my last years of teaching.
