I was a high school teacher from the early ‘90s to 2020. Over the course of my career, I saw mental health problems increase for teenagers. They became more anxious, less idealistic, and more prone to acting out. Sadly, suicides increased. And this was in Canada. I can imagine that it was even worse in the US. These kids know what kind of world they are inheriting. It makes them want to escape any way they can.
