I tried arguing against this philosophy when I was a graduate student. It did NOT go well. People are very committed to this idea. It's almost like they are in love with the concept of victimhood.

I would cite other thinkers who had a different point of view, and it turns out even mentioning them broke some kind of immutable law.

The consensus: there is no such thing as human nature, there are only powerful social forces; there is no such thing as the human self; there is no such thing as meaning.

It's no wonder young graduate students suffer from depression and even commit suicide in response to this nihilistic philosophy.
