I recently moved from Canada to the American Midwest. What you are describing is roughly what it costs my husband and I to live here. Clearly Playa is no cheaper than less expensive parts of the US, although cheaper than Canada. And foreigners cannot work there, so it’s become another playground for the rich. Good to know.
