I do not see Umair as maintaining animosity, as you put it. People do have malevolent intents. It doesn't hurt to see what others are planning to do if they feel they can get away with it.

There are powerful anti-democratic forces at work in the world today. To expose it is not to demonize, but to call for awareness and action.

Opening up a dialogue with people who are advocating a coup would be great of course.

But some people don't want to talk or listen. They want to use violence to get what they want.

Letting that happen would be criminal.
