I def see your point. But I think it depends on what you use social media for. I don't use it to get into political discussions- I use it to keep in touch with family and friends who live far away. I

That said, I do have a FB friend who has decided to dive into deep state conspiracy theories. I comment on her pictures of dogs and ignore the rest. Let her howl into the void. After I delete her comments on my posts, I enjoy the pictures of my cute niece and my former student's new baby.
