I believe what you say about the IDF although I saw nothing about them in the publications I read. I also believe the reports of Hamas atrocities. The videos were not amateurish, in that they showed the reality of the rapes.
I also believe that Israel has a right to exist and a right to be free of suicide bombers, drone strikes, and other terrorist attacks.
If I had any say, Netanyahu would be tried for corruption and the Jewish settlers in the occupied territories would be left on their own to reap what they have sown.
The Palestinians would also get their own land. But they would have to agree not to attack Israel or teach their children antisemitism. They would have to not elect extremists to fight their battles; they would have to learn to govern themselves responsibly.
All of this would never happen of course. Why is that? Because our species cannot collaborate or cooperate enough to create truly healthy societies based on transcendent spiritual values like love. We are aggressive, paranoid, and full of greed. We allow psychopaths to lead us. This will lead to the destruction of Western society, The Middle East and, eventually, the entire planet.
Unless we can change. And that is unlikely.
