Good for you for recognizing the truth. Most people are incapable of achieving this level of self awareness.
I saw this kind of out-of-control privilege recently at a local city council meeting. One person was advocating for a resolution that did not pass. Her reaction? A massive tantrum in which she demanded a recall of the mayor and called her adversaries (including my husband, who had argued against the resolution) “arrogant “ and “racist.” Basically, she couldn’t accept that democracy means you don’t always get your way.
Maybe she should read this article for a basic lesson in communication.
