Astrology and Reincarnation
It can’t be a coincidence.
I remember reading my first astrology book. It was Donna Cunningham’s Moon Signs. I bought it in 1988 at a spiritual bookstore in Toronto’s Yorkville neighborhood called the Omega Centre. This book convinced me that astrology was real because its description of my moon sign, cancer, was eerily accurate.
I think one of the reasons people don’t like to believe in astrology is that we don’t like to feel we are controlled by anything, including the cosmos.
Having complete freedom? That rocks. Just ask the existentialists.
Then I discovered I was a classic sun in scorpio: obsessed with power. Obsessed with everything to do with power, especially sex. Secrets are powerful too.
Especially sexual secrets.
And death. Two of my favourite memoirs are Tiger, Tigerby Margaux Fragoso and Smoke Gets in Your Eyes by Caitlin Doughty. Sex and death. One is about growing up the victim of a pedophile, and the other is about making a career out of cremating people. Nice, light reading for a scorpio.
