It seems like you are writing from very painful experience. At age 60, I have seen so much of what you describe here. But I have also seen just the opposite.

My overall experience of men is not as negative as what you describe here despite growing up in a sexist era.

I did marry a very bad man as a young woman, but I learned my lesson. The husbands of my friends are mostly wonderful. The men in my family are nothing like what you describe, with maybe one exception (I have a narcissist brother). My daughter has had lovely boyfriends, any of whom I would welcome as a son-in-law. Yes, she was raped (I have written about this on Medium), but that was one man out of many that she dated or knew otherwise.

Yes misogyny exists. Violence exists. Maybe some communities are worse than others, but I still see no need to hate half of the human race. Hatred is debilitating and self-defeating.
